Marina Yard Worker/Laborer (26070)

Fort Myers Beach FL | Full-time $500 Sign-on bonus! Diversified Yacht Services, Inc., the newest, most advanced, state-of-the-art yacht repair service facility in today’s yachting world, needs a Marina Yard Worker/Laborer to assist in cosmetically maintaining the vessels for our customers. A qualified Yard Worker will be a self-starter and a dedicated worker knowledgeable in the Marine and Boating Industry. The person should be flexible to fulfill the various tasks in the boat yard including, but not limited to the following: Pressure washing, media blasting, scraping, sanding, and applying paint to the bottoms of vessels and running gear Washing and drying customer’s vessels including polishing glass and waxing by hand or electric polisher. Vessel cleaning including: detailing and cleaning the interior of the vessels such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, steam-cleaning carpets and upholstery, and cleaning heads, galley, and the engine room. Assisting with travel lift and forklift operations. Building maintenance as assigned. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: 6 months in a laborer role. Experience with marina yard work will make you a stronger candidate. Proven experience with hand and power tools. Knowledge of rigging and de-rigging of vessels and the proper allocation and inventory of parts. Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record. An unsatisfactory driving record would contain infractions worse than minor traffic violations. Permanent authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorships are available. Being capable of operating and securing a vessel will make you a stronger candidate. Having knowledge of rigging and de-ridding of vessels will make you a stronger candidate. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of detailing products that are appropriate for use on boats and can identify products and work with the Parts Department to obtain them. This person should be able to work unsupervised, have a professional appearance, and be a team player. Candidates applying for this position should have the verbal communication skills to work effectively with fellow employees, the Parts Department, management, and occasionally the customer. Effective written communication skills are also necessary to report the results of investigations and make recommendations to successfully complete repairs. Certified Outboard Marine Technician (26174)

Diversified Yacht Services, Inc. is in need of a Certified Outboard Sterndrive Marine Technician to join our team to troubleshoot and repair vessels of various sizes for our customers at the newest, most advanced, state-of-the-art Marine Service facility in today’s boating world. As one of our Marine Technicians, you will be responsible for performing quality maintenance, service, and installations on all marine equipment, including small auxiliary engines (sailboats & generators) as well as main propulsion engines on larger yachts and outboard, sterndrive boats. Strong technical skills will be necessary to investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose all aspects of marine/yacht systems including, but not limited to: running gear/cutlass bearings; engine alignment; steering systems; hydraulic/plumbing systems; shaft seals service/installations; general maintenance of yachts; bottom painting and coatings application as well as bilge cleaning; repowering and rigging; annual services, oil changes/impellers/heat exchangers. You must be computer literate with reports and discoveries diagnostics and also possess all necessary tools to perform the repairs and diagnostics. Some overtime, weekends, and holiday work may be required. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: Five years of job-related marine repair facility or mobile marine repair experience and have advanced knowledge of marine engine troubleshooting, gas/diesel/outboard service, and repair with little supervision Experience with Marine electrical and engine computer analysis Electrical experience with the ability to use various testing equipment for AC/DC circuits -Factory/technical training with certifications by one or more marine engine manufacturers is preferred. -Mercury Marine Products, Suzuki, ABYC, and NMEA certifications are preferred as we are a Multi-line Dealer. -The candidate must be able to safely operate various sizes and styles of vessels and be familiar with the safe navigation of SWFL waterways to be able to move customer’s vessels and to perform systems checks as needed. Weekend Fuel Dock Attendant (25982)

Fort Myers Beach FL | Part-time Diversified Yacht Services, Inc., the newest, most advanced, state-of-the-art yacht repair service facility in today’s yachting world, needs a Fuel Dock Attendant to provide retail service to our customers in the ship store and at the fuel dock and handle the day-to-day dock responsibilities. The Fuel Dock Attendant will be stationed in the dock master building where we sell fishing gear, outboard engine parts, boating accessories, and snacks. The person would assist customers with purchases and provide immediate assistance with docking and securing of customer boats arriving for fueling. This person would also be responsible for regular monitoring of fuel levels for gas and diesel supply tanks and keep management informed on a daily basis of the fuel supply and price changes. Responsibilities also include processing accurate register transactions, re-stocking and maintenance of the ship store inventory while keeping displays neat and organized, communicating with administration regarding accounting, inventory, and end-of-shift preparation and schedules, and performing regular general clean-up and maintenance of the fuel docks and regular general clean-up and maintenance of the ship store. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: Cashier and fuel attendant experience preferred with a marina/fuel dock helpful Boat knowledge, especially proper docking and tie-up for power and sailboats, is preferred Boat knowledge in regards to boating parts, fishing gear, and accessories as well as safety preferred Strong customer service skills Must be computer literate Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 7:15 am - 5:15 pm. Paint and Fiberglass Assistant (26018)

The Fiberglass Assistant will aid the Paint and Fiberglass Restoration Specialist to execute fiberglass repairs and fabrication, and paint and gelcoat restoration and preservation. Vessel detailing will also fall under this classification as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Paint and Fiberglass Restoration Specialist to evaluate condition of yacht finishes, and assist in compiling estimates for work needed including fiberglass, gelcoat and Awlgrip paint work, along with coordinating the work with appropriate management and field staff, and overseeing the work done by other field employees in this area Execute approved work as a hands-on technician Wash and prepare vessels in preparation for top-coat treatment and apply compounds and waxes appropriate for each substrate Buff, wax, and final wash-down after the job is complete, and pre-delivery prep Fiberglass fabrication and repair – both structural as well as cosmetic Awlgrip paint work on full yacht paint projects and blends and repairs. Assist with detailing as needed Work with Paint and Fiberglass Restoration Specialist and the Parts Manager in identifying needed supplies.
